Uncle Max, this is Danny. I got your number off of my Mum's phone. Can I ask you some questions?

First of all, I am really glad to hear from you, Danny.

Second, I'm sorry but if we talk I am going to have to tell Val. I wouldn't feel right keeping it from her. Under the circumstances I don't feel like you and I can discuss anything you wouldn't also tell her.

If you are okay with that, then of course you can ask me absolutely anything.

How are you? I mean, I know nothing about you life but maybe I could?

I understand. I don't like to keep things from Mum anyway, it's not good. So you can show her everything I've said.

I just know my lawyer is from your firm, right? And Mum said you went to see Greg. What did he say?

Once again, I'd rather talk to your mother before I say something she would be uncomfortable with. But I am doing just fine, Danny. Thank you so much for asking.

Your lawyer is, yes. She's very good at what she does. I did go to see Greg because there were several things I felt I needed to say to him. He was his usual horrible self. He refused to plead guilty which I believe is because he knows if he goes to trial he will be able to see you again, even if it's just in court. I am so sorry for that. I tried to convince him it was in his best interest not to proceed to court. Not that I actually care what is in his best interest, of course, only what is in yours.

I love my mum a lot, Uncle Max, and I know where you're coming from there. But I'm 18 now. You don't have to share anything you don't want, but I'm an adult and I actually would like to have a relationship with my family.

Yeah, I had a feeling he'd want that. To be honest though, I kind of prefer it this way now? Means he won't be able to ask for a deal and we can send him away for a long time. Do you know if his punishment would be worse if there were other people he'd done it to? I hope there aren't, but I was wondering.

You're right, Danny, you are. The truth is that your mother has so few people she feels she can turn to. So if you are okay with it, I would rather any arrangements come from her.

You are a very brave young man, Danny. Yes, if more people came forward his punishment would be more severe. It will already be fairly harsh, however, considering he abducted you and held you for so long. We can't count on other people showing up out of the woodwork.

I didn't think about that. You're right though, we'll ask her.

I'm just pissed off, really. And good. I want him to be locked up forever.
